Combi Boilers
Combi boilers (or combination boilers) are a popular boiler type as they will provide you with dual functionality. Combi boilers act as both a water heater and also a central heating boiler. They are a cost-effective option as they heat water when necessary, rather than pre-heating and storing it in a cylinder.
System Boilers
System boilers are simple and fast to install as the heating and hot water system parts are built in. Another advantage with a system boiler is you will not require a water tank in your loft space. For the environmentally friendly-minded system boilers are compatible with solar heating systems.
Heat Only Boilers
Heat only boilers (or regular boilers) are perfect for properties that have an existing hot water and heating system that is connected to an independent hot water cylinder. These boilers combine with a loft based water tank that controls the central heating system’s water level.
Condensing Boilers
A condensing boiler is not a boiler type as such, rather a benefit that a boiler can provide. It is quite possible for a combi boiler or a regular boiler to have condensing functionality. What this means is heat is caught in the boiler’s flue and reused, making condensing boilers a cost-effective option.
Boiler Repair
In some instances, it may be possible to repair your existing boiler rather than replacing it completely. Our network of installers offers both boiler repair and boiler replacement services and will be able to advise what is the best course of action for your requirements.
Boiler Brands
There is a wide range of boiler brands to choose from when it comes to deciding which boiler to buy. Popular brands include Valliant boilers, Baxi boilers, Worcester boilers and Glow Worm boilers. Your installer will be able to explain the pros and cons of the different brands and models available.
Benefits of Boilers

Energy Efficiency
Since 2010 it has become a requirement that all new boilers achieve an A rating for energy efficiency (or provide 88% efficiency). You can see how energy efficient your new boiler will be using the rating system SEDBUK (Seasonal Efficiency of Domestic Boilers in the UK).

Gas Boilers
Combi, system and heat only styles are all available as gas boilers. Our network of installers provides gas boilers at competitive prices that offer energy efficiency and meet European safety standards, emissions standards and water bylaws.

Electric Boilers
There are several advantages to choosing an electric boiler. They do not require a flue so may be a good option if space is a consideration. They operate very quietly as they do not rely upon moving elements inside the boiler. Also, electric boilers generally require less maintenance than gas or oil alternatives.

Oil Boilers
An alternative to gas and electric boilers is an oil boiler, they are particular popular in properties that do not have a gas connection. Oil boilers tend to be highly energy efficient so you could see a saving in heating costs. They are also comparatively easy to replace and install.

Boiler Prices
Our network of boiler installers will be able to provide you with competitive boiler prices on a wide range of boiler styles, brands and models. They will offer you a free, no obligation quote and provide you with any technical information you may require.

Choosing The Right Replacement Boiler
When choosing your boiler there are a number of factors to take into consideration; the type of fuel it will use, the amount of space you have to install it and the energy efficiency it will provide. Your installer will be able to offer boiler advice however if you would like to speak with an advisor, please call us on 0800 015 5679.
