Window Security Information

It’s a sad fact of modern life that there’s no such thing as overdoing your security systems. It is with this in mind that we offer you an example of the security of our products.

All our windows are fitted with a roller cam lock system as standard. This system comprises four adjustable roller cams with individual keeps, plus a handle that click locks and has a further key lock. And just to be on the safe side, we have added a dead bolt for good measure.

All of our doors come complete with a dead bolt and five lever lock, together with a four roller cam system very similar to the one described for the windows.
Optional Security Upgrades

All our locking mechanisms are approved by the Association of British Insurers. However, we do offer upgrades for those who would feel more comfortable with even greater security.

For doors, in addition to the four roller cams with their individual keeps, you can choose to have two opposing claws in metal keeps.

For windows, we offer to fit the new Sac Shootbolt Locking System, which has a grand total of ten different security points. From the top of the window down, these are:



  • SAC Shootbolt with 400% more contact area-top

  • Advanced hinge lock/guard-top

  • Security roller cams-top

  • Latch plate-top

  • Key window lock

  • Auto lock handles with night vent position

  • Latch plate-bottom

  • Security roller cams-bottom

  • Advanced hinge lock/guard-bottom

  • SAC Shootbolt with 400% more contact area-bottom




As you can see from this list, the SAC system ensures that windows are equally secure top and bottom and, for extra security, they are key-locked, too.

Whether you choose the standard locking mechanism or the high security SAC Lock upgrade, you can rest safe in the knowledge that our products are every bit as secure and or more so, than any comparable product on the market.
